How do I know when it’s time to say goodbye?
This is one of the hardest questions to face, and there isn’t always a single clear moment. We often look at quality of life over time comfort, mobility, appetite, enjoyment of daily activities, and whether good days still outweigh the hard ones. Our team can help you talk through what you’re seeing at home and provide honest, compassionate guidance. You don’t have to make this decision alone, and it’s okay if the answer takes time to become clear.
What happens during a euthanasia appointment?
Euthanasia appointments are handled with care, patience, and respect. We’ll explain each step before we begin and move at a pace that feels right for you. Your pet is given medication to help them relax and become comfortable, followed by a medication that allows them to pass peacefully. You’re welcome to stay with your pet the entire time, say goodbye in your own way, and take the time you need.
Will my pet be comfortable and peaceful?
Yes. Our focus is always on comfort and dignity. Pets are gently sedated so they feel calm and relaxed, and the process is designed to be as peaceful and pain-free as possible. We carefully monitor each step to ensure your pet is comfortable throughout.
What is hospice care, and how can it help?

It can include pain control, medication adjustments, and regular check-ins to help support both your pet and your family. Hospice care can give you time to enjoy meaningful moments, prepare emotionally, and make decisions thoughtfully rather than in a crisis.
What happens to my pet’s remains after they’re gone?
We partner with Forever Friends for aftercare services. They are a compassionate, respectful, and responsive team who handle each pet with great care. We’ll help coordinate aftercare based on your wishes, whether that includes private or communal cremation and memorial options. You can learn more about their services here:
